Back again

Yumm! Patrick and my yummy engagement cake from my Aunt Helen! My nephew wouldn't take no for an answer when he demanded to "eat Patrick's face". Haven't been up to too much lately. Trying to attack the laundry monster in my basement and iron the cotton shirt monster on my ironing board.

Had a pretty interesting weekend that kicked off with Patrick and I venturing to Alton to meet up with Kristin and her sister and brother in law to check out a "real" haunted house's backyard and cellar. We paid twenty dollars to have a spirit guide take us around after lighting stinky sage to cleanse the area and we walked through the backyard and headed into the house...we couldn't even go in the house. We sat in the cellar trying to hear, touch, feel a ghost for 45 minutes while little lizard claimed that ghosts were sending her mental images and telling her things that she would tell the group...yes there was a group of us ghost hunters. I thought I saw a ghost, but the more I think about it, my emotions were running pretty high and I was just anxious to get something out of my 20 dollars...Kristin want to go to Bobby Mackey's bar next year. I say see you later.

Did you hear that???

Playdate!

Get Her! Get her CoCo! It is a broken record at our house! Cookie and CoCo are best friends! They have had the best time playing with each other and I have been laughing all day! CoCo is so tiny and has to jump up on her hind legs to get Cookie. I was tempted to hide CoCo so Kristin wouldn't find her then we could keep her for forever..but I am not that crazy.

Carb Loading and Relaxing...

Big race day tomorrow :) Andrea and I will be running in our first run tomorrow morning and I am so excited! We have worked really hard and really pushed ourselves so we will see how we do...hey at least we get a free t-shirt! After the race we are picking up CoCo Naes to spend the night over here while her Mom has some me time in Columbia. I am so excited! Cookie and Sundance have been asking to have a slumber party with her since I told them about her!

Also having my first co-garage sale with Andrea on Sunday weather permitting! If anyone is interested in our toss outs!

Patrick and I haven't been up to too much lately. Tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary at Morganford! I cant believe it has been a year.

A lot has happened in 1 year! We bought this house, we bought malibu barbie, we adopted cookie monster, We celebrated our two year anniversary, and we got engaged!! I have been doing a lot of blog browsing for ideas for the best wedding! Having nice friends that want us at theirs also helps! After going to Amy's wedding I am really set on having a photo booth! Hope we can squeeze it in somewhere...maybe we can put it on the sidewalk...the reception area is pretty much all spoken for already! I also had a realization today that while I have been focusing so much on the reception...I completely forgot that we are having two dinner parties back to back!!! I need to get working on the rehearsal!! :)
Here are some updated pics of cooks and sundy too!

Easier said then done!

Well I thought I had been doing some serious training for the 5k I am going to run. I have been on drugs. Tonight I ran 1/2 the way and I thought I my heart was going to go temple of doom on me. I just need to set my mind to it, so I can do it. There was some really in shape people at the park and they were intimivating. There were also some foreigners that remind me that I need to update my wardrobe. Who knew Francis Park was such a hot spot! And when Pat and I are very successful in our careers we will live in one of those beautiful homes. And I need to get some non-depressing music on my ipod...Can anyone recommend some trendy pump up music? Who is this princess GaGa everyone is talking about?
In other news i whipped out one of my corduroy skirts for work today and boy did it feel good! I wanted to wear boots but I thought, let just ease in. I am almost over my cold which is great and today is already Wednesday! I love four day weeks. Tomorrow is Jersey Shore-Jean remind me to turn it on! Lets chat about Jersey Shore...now. who here thinks that the second season is a little scripted? Or did Sammi Sweetheart have a lobotomy on hiatus? Andrea said that they are back together in season three! Now I know I dated a LOT of people, but I still always knew what I wanted and what I was worth. Are people really that sefl-esteemless? Alright just random babbling but is sure feels good to just hop on the net and jam out a sandwich!

A laborious day

Happy Monday! No work today and I am finally on the tail end of my cold, felt good enough to get some lunch today and now Patrick and I are having a Ghost Adventures Marathon (shout out KiKi). I wasted most of this weekend laying in bed and blowing my nose. MAD. But one thing I did do is pick up my wedding gown and shoes! Boy good thing too my wedding is just around the corner. at least one good thing is that it is already too big, so if I choose to be lazy and not lose a pound my dress will still fit. Now if I gain weight...I really need to stay away from that broccoli casserole. I really want to put a picture up but Patrick is NOT aloud to see it.

Speaking of weddings, we have quite a bit planned...We just booked our rehearsal dinner here!

The Piper Palm House! It is going to be beautiful! I love the setting and Tower Grove Park and how elegant it is! Our reception is booked too! We are having it here!
Soulard Preservation Hall! Patrick and I went to look at this place about a month ago, and we just fell in love with it! It was so much of what we wanted and I cant wait to have our party here! We also have our church booked and are going to start our marriage classes in October, Hope we pass :) I hope this year goes fast because everyone know I love a good party that includes dressing up and cake!

Im BACK!!!!

Alright so after a short lull in posts, I a back. My hiatus is due to the fact that our computer was 19 years old and coughed up micro chips every time you asked it to do something. But now...We just got a new computer that is from the '10s and we have wireless. I am surprised Patrick waited this long for our house to be wireless. It must have been making his skin crawl. Me on the other hand, if he hadnt come along I would prob fall in line with my family and be about ten years behind on the answering machine fad.

So some things have happened since March. The main thing is this bird went and got engaged! Patrick took me to Hannibal for our two year anniversary and he proposed to me! We had just checked in to our b&b and after hearing a rousing speech from the Inn Keeper about how marriage just isnt for everyone, Patrick couldnt wait to ask me to marry him :).

So we are planning a wedding...for 13 months from now. I wish it was a little sooner just because I cant wait to get married to my best friend! Whew wedding planning is a lot of stuff.
